Apple of His Eye

The Lord calls Jerusalem the "apple of His eye" in Zechariah and portrays His protective covering around her when He says, "I will be to her like a wall of fire all around, and I will be the glory in her midst." ... In one of David's Psalms, we see that David knows full well that God holds him in the exact same esteem. "KEEP me as the apple of your eye..." --- You're worth just as much as the Promise Land, love. You're more precious than rubies. You're loved like crazy. Your biggest cheerleader dreamt you into being and knows your rough spots and loves you just the same. That's crazy love.••• ““Come, Zion! Escape, you who live in Daughter Babylon!” For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—”

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭2:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings from the wicked who are out to destroy me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭17:7-9‬ ‭NIV‬‬
