"And your hope will not be cut off..."
“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”Proverbs 23:18 NIV
“Saul was going along one side of the mountain, and David and his men were on the other side, hurrying to get away from Saul. As Saul and his forces were closing in on David and his men to capture them, a messenger came to Saul, saying, “Come quickly! The Philistines are raiding the Land. Then Saul broke off his pursuit of David and went to meet the Philistines. That is why they call this place Sela Hammahlekoth (which means Rock of Parting). “And David went up from there and lived in the strongholds of En Gedi."1 Samuel 23:26-29 NIV •••
Lots of things pursue us in order to harm us in this world. And I don't know what it is that you feel like is pursuing you today, but I do know that God wants you to know that He believes in you and wants you to partner with Him in faith and prayer and stand firm right where you are. It doesn't mean that you stand firm with a snarl on your face, it just means that you stand firm in grace knowing that the God of the Universe is on your side. In reality, snarling is really just showing your encroaching enemy that YOU are the one with the power ... right? Let's let God do the talking because the reality is that God wants to silence our enemy's but He isn't against people, He's just against their schemes against us. The only way to fight in grace is to fight holding hands with God. People need to know they're immeasurably loved and important, and sometimes the best way to show them that is to show them that you know you are to the God that created you ... but it'll be our attitude that makes all the difference. You can't do this alone. Praying now that the Holy Spirit infiltrate hearts and go with those fighting battles that grace needs to fight so that people see they're loved and not hated, and that He center our focus on how much truth there is in this one line, "And your hope will not be cut off." Go in grace, loves. 💕
